The end of the week is finally here. You have put in the work and now it is time to reflect back, looking at the tasks completed as well as those that are not. What did you prioritize? What is left on the to-do list and how will it affect the coming week? At this moment, the good news is, you still have a few hours to tie up some loose ends before the day is complete so GET TO IT! The greater news is that reflection consists of careful thought. It gives the brain an opportunity to pause, untangle, or sort through things and experiences in order to gain a better understanding. NOW IS THE TIME, so train your mind to do this every week, sometimes in the midst of it as facing certain circumstances may rely on it.
Reflection, if done correctly, forces one to slow down: physically, mentally, and spiritually. It allows the adoption of a clearer mindset when sorting through the unknown or inconsistencies that may be present. It also allows personal accountability to be taken for what you are responsible for. There may be feelings of discomfort, vulnerabilities or the need to be defensive that is experienced but let those feelings lead you to better insight and breakthroughs.
Reflection is a part of the process. Use it to improve your perspective and focus, it will help you prioritize what is important. Reflection gives directions when distractions arise. Move into the coming week with a fresh mind, new thoughts, greater perspective and action. WORK ON WINNING…..IT’S A MOVEMENT…..KEEP GRINDIN’, STAY FOCUSED AND ALWAYS TEE IT UP!!
